In the bible Proverbs 13:24 tells us: "He who spartes his rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him." This is another way that the world is challenging the rule of God Jehovah. Parants who don't discipline their children are wondering why their children have gone wrong and point their fingers at everything under the sun. They blame video games, movies, television, cartoons and countless other inanimate objects on a child's wrongdoing. But every time they point a finger, there are three more pointing exactly where they need to be. They expect everyone to be responcible for their children but accept none of their own. I tell you, that is why they are out of control.

what has happened to our cartoons? When I was a kid I was able to sit down every Saterday morning and watch Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo, GI Joe, Transformers, among other shows that i loved. But now those shows have been deemed "too violent" by the powers that be. Has anyone seen the shows that are on now? It makes my stomach turn. Kids aren't allowed to play with or watch anything that isn't educational anymore. Yes I agree education is important, but we've got to remember to let our kids do something just for the fun of it. Jesus said "Suffer the little children come unto me, and do not hender them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." not suffer the little children, and then make them suffer some more. we put too much on our childrens' plates. There are some children going to alternative schools with true Juvenile Deliquents because they aren't doing their homework, or because they skipped a couple of days, or because they played a prank on someone. Are the children to suffer because the authority figures put in charge of them forgot what it was like when they were children? What is wrong with a kid missing a day or two because so they can do something with the family? The powers that be will tell you that it dampens the child's future. But in reality, each school gets a certain amount of money for each child in school. So if a child misses a couple of days they don't get their full amount of money each year. Then they place rules stating that if a kid misses more than a few days then they can't go on to the next grade. In the meantime a father who wanted to go fishing with his child is looked down upon because his child wasn't in school. And they tell us, its all so our children grow up to be responsible business persons like the CEO's of Enron, and Martha Stewart.

Is this our future? Are we really expected to lead our children in this direction? To wind up with our country ran by corporations and CEO's who horde money from the public and then wonder why the economy is low. In the meantime small business men are closing their doors, and hard working farmers and ranchers are being driven off their land. They are worrying about not making their annual billion dollars, while everyday people like you and I search our chouch cushions for change enough to buy a gallon of milk. I tell you, I will NEVER service that future. And as long as there is a breath in me, I will not let my children (if I have any) to become like them. Amen !
